Make fast, healthy salmon tacos using your air fryer. This recipe includes flaky seasoned salmon and a bright, crunchy slaw, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • For the Slaw:
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (green or mix)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Crema:
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon water (to thin)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon dry. In a small bowl, mix chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mix evenly over the salmon.
  2. Air fry the salmon: Place the seasoned salmon in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 380°F (195°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  3. Make the slaw: While the salmon cooks, combine shredded cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, and salt in a medium bowl. Toss well to coat.
  4. Make the crema: Whisk together Greek yogurt, lime juice, and water until smooth. Add more water if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  5. Assemble the tacos: Once cooked, flake the salmon into bite-sized pieces using two forks. Warm the tortillas according to package directions.
  6. Build your tacos: Layer the flaked salmon onto the warmed tortillas. Top generously with the zesty slaw and drizzle with the lime crema.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free option, use corn tortillas.
  • If you do not have an air fryer, you can bake the salmon at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mix for extra heat.
