Make a flavorful shrimp boil easily in the oven using classic Old Bay seasoning, corn, potatoes, and sausage.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb small red potatoes, halved
  • 1 lb smoked sausage (like Andouille or Kielbasa), sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 ears of corn, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 large lemon, sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes and sausage. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of the melted butter and toss with half of the Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Spread this mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake the potatoes and sausage for 15 minutes.
  4. While the potatoes bake, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the remaining butter. Stir in the minced garlic, remaining Old Bay seasoning, and paprika. Remove from heat.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Add the corn pieces and shrimp to the sheet, distributing everything evenly around the potatoes and sausage.
  6. Pour the garlic butter sauce evenly over all the ingredients on the sheet pan. Place the lemon slices on top.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 10 to 12 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through and the potatoes are tender.
  8. Serve immediately directly from the pan or transfer to a large platter for serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the butter sauce.
  • If you prefer a traditional boil flavor, you can boil the potatoes separately until almost tender before adding them to the sheet pan.
  • Use fresh lemon wedges for squeezing over the finished boil before eating.
