You asked for the famous sweet and creamy salad from Chicken Salad Chick, and we have the perfect copycat recipe! This Grape Salad combines juicy grapes, a rich cream cheese dressing, and a crunchy pecan topping. It is a fantastic potluck side dish or a refreshing treat for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds seedless grapes (red and green mix)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place the grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely combined and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated.
  5. Spread the grape salad mixture into a serving dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the grape salad.
  7. Cover the dish and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure your grapes are completely dry before mixing them with the dressing.
  • You can prepare the grape salad base one day ahead, but add the pecan and brown sugar topping just before serving to keep the pecans crunchy.
  • If you want a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
