Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
1/4 cup cooked, crumbled Italian sausage (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8-inch pie plate or small oven-safe dish.
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Mix in the sour cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until fully combined.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
Pour the pizza sauce over the cream cheese layer. Spread it gently to cover the base.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce layer.
Top with pepperoni slices and crumbled sausage, if using.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned on top.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh basil before serving hot with breadsticks or tortilla chips.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, assemble the dip completely, cover it, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Add 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time if baking directly from the refrigerator.
You can prepare this dip in a small slow cooker on low for 2 hours or on high for 1 hour, stirring gently before serving.
Substitute toppings like sliced black olives, cooked mushrooms, or bell peppers for variety.
